A lot of these paintings are of family, nearly all of the rest are of friends. Many of them are closely cropped as part of an ongoing project looking at where we locate identity and how much of our perceived identity relies on peripheral information.

The paintings of Pia were commissioned by Pia's mother to document Pia's progress though her mid-facial advancement surgery in November 2005.
